2011 Scripps National Spelling Bee Championship Finals

Championship finalist spellers spell onstage before a live ESPN television audience. The 2011 Scripps National Spelling Bee Champion will be named.

Location and Time

Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center | Maryland Ballroom | 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. EDT

Seating will begin at 7:00 p.m. EDT

We recommend you arrive at least one hour prior to the start of the event.

Seating policy

Upon your arrival to Gaylord National, make your way to the Maryland Ballroom Foyer and present your tickets to receive your admission wrist pass. Once you have received your wrist pass you may enter the Maryland Ballroom. You may sit in any unreserved seat on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets are required for admission. Attire for members of the audience is business casual/smart casual.

This ticket is a revocable license, which may be withdrawn and admission refused at any time upon refunding the printed purchase price. The E.W. Scripps Co., Scripps National Spelling Bee (together, “Scripps”), and Gaylord National Resort and Conference Center (collectively, “The Bee Parties”) reserve the right to: (a) eject any ticketholder without a refund from the premises for disorderly behavior, or for failing to comply with the terms and conditions contained herein, or any posted regulations of Scripps or the venue; and (b) confiscate any items or belongings (including but not limited to bottles, coolers, or electronics) from any person who improperly brings them onto the premises, uses them in violation of this license, or is deemed by any of The Bee Parties to be disorderly. For security purposes, ticketholder agrees to submit to a security screening and search, including ticketholder’s person or property, upon entry or at any point during the event upon request of any of The Bee Parties. Ticketholder grants permission to Scripps to utilize ticketholder’s image or likeness incidental to any live or recorded television or other transmission or reproduction in whole or in part of the Spelling Bee. Resale or attempted resale of ticket is not permitted and is grounds for seizure and cancellation. Ticketholder agrees not to record or transmit (or aid others in doing so) any description, audio, video, picture, or reproduction of this event. This ticket may not be used for advertising, promotional (including contests and sweepstakes), or other trade purposes without the express written consent of Scripps. Scripps reserves the right to change the date and/or starting time of this event and no such change shall entitle the ticketholder to a refund. By entering the premises for an event, the ticketholder: (a) grants a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, and irrevocable right to Scripps and its respective affiliates, assigns, agents, contractors and employees to utilize the ticketholder’s image, likeness, or voice in connection with any broadcast, photograph, or any other reproduction, in whole or in part, of this event for any commercial or other purpose via any media (now known or hereinafter devised); (b) VOLUNTARILY ASSUMES ALL RISK AND DANGER OF PERSONAL INJURY (INCLUDING DEATH), PROPERTY DAMAGE AND ALL OTHER HAZARDS ARISING FROM OR RELATED IN ANY WAY TO ATTENDANCE AT THIS EVENT, WHETHER OCCURRING PRIOR TO, DURING, OR AFTER THE EVENT (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE RISK OF INJURY (INCLUDING DEATH) OR PROPERTY DAMAGE DUE TO THE NEGLIGENCE OR MISCONDUCT OF THE BEE PARTIES OR OTHER SPECTATORS); and (c) agrees to release and hold harmless The Bee Parties, and their respective employees, volunteers, vendors, officers, directors, members, partners, owners, affiliates, sponsors, contractors, and other agents and their respective affiliates, members, directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents and players from any claims of loss, damage, or injury (including death) resulting from ticketholder’s attendance at event. If the event is canceled, Scripps shall not be required to issue a refund provided that the ticketholder is given the right, within three (3) months of the date of the original event, to attend a rescheduled performance of the same or to exchange this ticket for a comparable ticket to a similar event held in 2012, as designed by Scripps in its sole discretion.
